On Friday 19th July, members and visitors were treated to an outstanding game of bowls as Ronnie Duel and Brian Smith faced off for the Gents Club Championship 2024. Both players, former champions, were eager to secure their second title – Ronnie having won in 2021, and Brian back in 2015. The match was a thrilling contest with the lead changing. Eventually Brian edged out Ronnie with a narrow 21-18 victory. It was a close fought and spirted game. Well played boys and a big congratulations to our new Club Champion for 2024 – Brian Smith.
