It is with great sadness that we must announce the death of one of our clubs’ finest characters and a truly amazing man.

Stan, Stanley K Garland passed on Monday 26^th February 2024, and the clubs thoughts and prayers are now with May and the family.

Stan had been a prominent member of the LBC for many years and served on various committees and even taking on Presidential duties. He was well-known throughout the bowling community, known for his unique wit and sense of humour. He is going to be sorely missed in and around the club.

It was a pleasure to have known and shared a rink and a drink with him, although it was always you that paid.
