All we can say is that this was one of the truly epic finals at Lochee. Andy Moir and Davie Johnstone Vs Ally Gowans and Colin Craigie. Early doors, Colin and Ali went down faster than the sinking Titanic, trailing 12-2, only for them to man the life boats and turn around the score to a 16 - 16 on the 16th end. One end to go and all to play for.
The comeback kids’ fortune continued and they were lying the shot with one bowl to come, with poor Andy having the weight of the world on his shoulders. In typical Andy style he took it in his stride and pulled out a show stopper of a shot to win the game. Those who watched were truly amazed and yet fully gutted for the winner and runner ups on one hell of a roller coaster ride.
